Principle

The FDG shielded square waste container from Lemer Pax provides safe and convenient storage of radioactive wastes while protecting the operator from high energy gamma ray exposure. This step action lid container enables the operator to keep his hands out of exposure. The protection against isotope radiation is assured by 20 mm of lead which is sandwiched between two steel sheets of white easily decontaminable finish. The lid opening and closing speed are both adjustable by means of an hydraulic regulator. The pedal of the container is balanced to obtain an effortless opening. The container is also provided with a removable holding bags system. This container is mobile on casters and can be easily moved by its back handle.
